Memories
Aaron Rice
I worked at WHOI-TV in the production department back in the late 90's, and one of the biggest highlights of the week was taping Chapel Vision.  We all welcomed the break from the usual pace of the newscasts we did every day, and working with Ken was always a blast.  He came in each week with a positive attitude, and you couldn't help but be happy when he was around...it became contagious.  We taped the Sunday show and it was such a blast to watch him work with puppets and just listen to his messages.  And taping the shorter "Somebody Loves You" segments was just as fun for me, I remember watching those right before signoff and the national anthem when I was younger, and being a part of making it while I worked there was awesome for me.  Ken was a wonderful man and the world would be a better place if everyone was just a tiny bit as kind as he.

It's so comforting to read the comments from the many, many people who loved my Dad. People who never met him yet gained so much from his message. Thank you all.

For me, Too many memories to share in this space. My DAD was the BEST and I will forever miss him terribly

Grandpa, where do I start with the memories?  There are so many!
Stringing food on the Christmas tree in your backyard so that the animals could eat.
Staying up as late as I could so I could watch "Somebody Loves You".
The doll house that you built me for Christmas when I was little.
All the pies you would buy at Thanksgiving, enough to feed an army!
I could go on forever, but some should be kept for just you and I to share.  I miss you deeply, and I know I'm not the only one.  I'll be saving a chair for you on my wedding day and know that you are there with me.  I love you.

Ken baptized our sons at the Retreat House - my husband and I had chosen to wait until they were both in grade school to do so as we wanted them to fully understand the importance of this event - Ken made the day so very special for all of us -  When our youngest graduated from high school Ken attended the open house to honor him- we were so touched that he would take the time and effort to do this - that's just the kind of good man he was...Ann Hagemann

"Day by Day, Day by Day, Oh, Dear Lord Three Things I Pray.  To see thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, follow thee more nearly Day by Day" - DAY BY DAY - composer Stephen Schwartz from the musical "Godspell" - the first song I shared with the Chapel...Love you Ken   Ann Hagemann
